Newbie here; surgery scheduled! Yay!

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself -- my name is Melissa and I'll be having surgery on Wednesday, 15 August. I'm thrilled to have been approved insurance-wise (which was the only hold-up I have encountered) and I honestly can't believe that in less than a week I'll be well on my way to a new me!

I'm going to check out this site a bit more thoroughly. I don't know yet what my challenges are going to be. I guess I'm not really looking forward to the liquid diet but I'll manage :).

Has anyone experienced a really significant weight loss in the first few months? It'd be nice to drop a few pounds early on :(.

Hey Melissa! I hope you have a very speedy recovery!

Lots of people loose weight in the first few months... the liquid diet probably helps with that a lot! Work with the band and you will have the success you've dreamed of!
