Length of Stay in Hospital

I had my first visit with the surgeon and i am excited that I am going to have the gastric sleeve surgery in July. I was surprised that the Doctor said I would go home the same day. Everyone I know that had this surgery stayed at least 1 day overnight. Has anyone gone home the same day? If so do you wish you had been able to stay?

There have been a few. My insurance had pre-approved five days. I got my sleeve on a Monday morning and went home Wednesday afternoon.

I went home the same day.

--and no, I would not have done anything different.
