Late July/early August for me. My last appt is May 26 and they said surgeries are scheduled around 2 months out right now. Hopefully they're alil better staffed then tho so it's quicker lol. I'm lucky that my insurance only wants 3mo of classes. Nobody told me I had to lose during preop tho? I've been seeing people mention it in here...?

Yes or your insurance will reject it. They want to see the money that are dishing out is worth it.

My insurance didn't tell me to lose, but wanted me to have weight loss consults with my PCP for three consecutive months. I've been losing anyway. I have to make lifelong changes, might as well start now.

The surgeon wanted me to lose ten pounds before surgery to prove I'm willing. I think the 61 pounds I've lost in the past 15 months should count for that!?! Lol.

I lost the ten and a few more, so it's fine. I'm still waiting to hear if my insurance has approved. It's been in process one week. They have 30 days to decide. I'll have a preop visit with the surgeon when (if) I'm approved and then surgery.

I have to schedule around coworkers too. I'm sure that will postpone me.

I'm really excited for all of you with surgery dates!!!! Yay!!!!

Lost a total of 8 pounds this month, the nut was thrilled.... but another wrench in the plans. The insurance coordinator came in and said my insurance has added in another stipulation. Your first and last supervised weight loss visits must be at least 180 days apart. My first one was December 1, so my 6th appt is now scheduled for May 31.... 183 days from my first appointment. We were trying for early May, but this is the hand I'm dealt so I'll take it with a smile and know that I'm still heading towards the loser's bench.

@@betterme38 The Garth Brooks concert was amazing! Trisha was home sick, so it was just him, no opening acts or anything. It got started a little late - a few minutes after 11 but he sang until 1:45 in the morning! ~swoon~

I don't know if mine have to be 180 days apart. The scheduling nurse made scheduled all of the rest of my appointments so I guess she knows what shes doing. I hope. Lol

I just counted mine arent first and last dietician appts arent 180 days apart. If thats the rule at my insurance I couldnt have my surgery until at least Aug 14 instead of July 25 when Im scheduled. I better ask then next time I go. I hope they would have known this when they scheduled everything. Even though its only a few more weeks It will seem like the longest weeks of my life.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
