Some very good advice there from Jinty. I ate loads of tuna and also baked Beans. chicken is still my favourite food. I had lots of Soup in the beginning but I don't have it much now. Turkey mince is fab and I make no Pasta lasagna with it.

Water intake still not as much as I should but trying every day to have more !

I have a bread craving, I'd kill my granny for a crusty loaf and lump of french butter.

Maybe it's because I'm sort of disappointed. I know in reality you don't wake up a size 10 after your op but there in the back of your mind there's a glimmer of hope so I guess I feel my weight's not coming off fast enough. I seem to have stalled somewhat. I'm still not getting the scales out the shed until next month so I may be wrong but I just don't feel any skinnier and not one person has asked me if I've lost weight.

Think I'm just fed-up. :(

Rosie. You're doing great. Screw people's comments. What matters is how you feel Inside. Keep in mind, after this stall you'll lose A LOT. Stay focused. And work hard. It will all pay off! :-)

Even though I could see a difference, people didn't really notice until I hit 50lbs down. Looking a pictures I know I was showing my loss, but people didn't say anything (maybe they just want to be polite?). It can be hard to manage expectations when you want the weight to just drop off, but don't let it get to you, the inches tend to hold on a while and then suddenly let go. You'll feel it soon.

Thanks for the support all. I know I'm being unrealistic and it takes time but patience has never been my strongest point. I feel as if I have 'baby blues' LOL, I'm sure I'll be ok tomorrow, just one of those days.

Lulu, what's happening with you?

RosieCheeks, don't you dare get despondent! Don't kill your granny. Or anyone else for that matter!!!! Prison food is not the best idea when you need a precise type of nutrition! Will you stop stressing, please? Pretty please? Rome was not built in a day and neither can you be UNBUILT in a month. Patience woman! NO-one said this was going to be a quick fix. Thank heavens it isn't. Us sleevers need time to adjust to how our bodies deal with food post op. It takes our brains a bit of time to get used to what our new tummies discover very quickly. I mean, before your surgery, when did you last feel completely stuffed? I hadn't felt full for YEARS!!!! My brain had no concept of what 'full' meant. It is slowly learning now as my stomach has to keep reminding it. Poor little brain is also having to learn the difference between plain greed and proper hunger. Add to all this going on, your metabolism has had a major sea change and has to re-adjust to the new quantities of food that it has to process. Blimey, hope you're not trying to be Superwoman? Give yourself a break. You are still healing for gawd's sake. You will be for some time to come. Just let the ounces dribble away slowly but surely and don't fret. It IS happening. Don't try to rush things. Anyway, how long did it take you to pile the weight on? Bet the whole process took a damn site longer than a month! Point made. I shall shut up now[emoji6][emoji8]

No you're being realistic. Don't worry. I know I'd feel that way too. But just focus on what's important and kill the negative vibes! :-)

I'm still waiting for my visa appointment for the Czech which is after 12 days. It takes so long just to get an appointment with them!

My birthday is on Friday 27. The plan was that I have the surgery done and enjoy celebrating with friends and wear a nice dress. None of that happened. But I don't wanna think that way and feel disappointed. I feel blessed and grateful instead for having amazing friends who are planning a surprise party for me and I will enjoy it with them and not let my misery with my weight get in the way! :-)

Oh I'm so glad I found this forum. Feel much better now, thanks guys. Jinty, I promise not to kill my dead granny ;) .

I'm not getting any exercise, I've not lost enough yet to make breathing easier plus I twisted my knee a couple of weeks ago and it's still sore. That's probably not helping.

You'll get there Lulu, get out and have yourself ball on Friday, many happy returns x

Happy Birthday for Friday Lulu. Have a great time. Hope your visa comes through OK. Rosie Cheeks, let your knee heal before you even think about exercising. Now, apologies for making light about your Granny's demise, but I sincerely hope she is somewhere sitting in judgement of you and stopping you getting yourself into a complete stress meltdown! Keep posting how you're feeling-better to let rip and feel that you're getting things off your chest rather than keeping all your feelings to yourself. Let it go girl!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
