Hello????Had POSE in 2013 didn't lose much. My insurance will pay for the sleeve but doctors won't do it because of the anchors in my stomach from the sleeve. Has anyone had the sleeve after POSE? If so, how did you convince your surgeon to do the sleeve? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I discussed about POSE at first with my surgeon that told me it was not a good idea. He also mentioned that he was not doing this surgery, but "fixed" several patients with a sleeve. So I assume it is possible. I guess you need to talk to several surgeons and find one experienced with it. Mine did over 900 sleeves. it helps building trust

Thanks for tbe info. Probably OK for people who are scared of actual surgery but I guess the statistics for for longer term success not clear yet.

@@Micoxv - I agree with the OP, find another surgeon who has gone in behind others to "fix" this procedure and see if it is possible to convert to a sleeve.
