Banded Aug 2/07 - shoulder pain

I was banded on Thursday :whoo:and doing well overall. The only problem is that the pain meds make me nauseated (Demerol), but when I stop taking them, the pain in my chest and shoulders is unbearable. How long do people find this tightness in the chest and pain in the shoulders lasts?
