So my husband (who isn't really supportive) has just told me that his elderly auntie and uncle are coming to stay on the 10 April for three days, I have my op on the 07th of April and didn't want any of his family to know!!! Ive told him that I'm really not going to feel like entertaining them while he is at work and I'm only three days post op but he has said I am been unreasonable... So angry!!!

I'm a therapist and I really feel for you. It is completely fair for you to advocate for yourself and your needs. You are having major surgery, and you need someone to take care of you instead of you being his relatives' caretaker. A good marriage is about respect for each other and each other's needs. I wish you the best and can understand your anger. It will be interesting to see what happens as you start to grow and evolve. I hope your husband will be able to grow with you.
