cool , that's what I am getting. I am glad you got to come home the same day. I wonder why they are making me stay so long.

Well. I don't have any major health issues. And my surgeon is one of the best here in the Northwest. Dr. srikanth. So I can assume it all depends on the doctors and your health history. But I was surprised too cause I was assuming I'd stay at least one night. But I did all the test and passed exceedingly like the breathing test and cough test and Ofcourse a slew of other test s. So I got to heal at home. Which was best.

My dr wants me to have SIPS . Can you shed some light on your experience? I can't find anything on this online.

I am so happy I decided to have this surgery! No regrets at all. You will have foul smelling poop and gas, however, that's just the small part. I was a size 24 now down to a 12. I am 11 months out.

Actually losili, I was wrecking my brain deciding which surgery I should have done. Due to 250 cm (which isn't as bad as 100cm) rerouting of the intestines, I chickened out and decided to stay on the safe side without the intestine bit . I don't know honestly . Was even thinking of changing it last min . I've got my sugery booked for the 29th with Ian Michelle

29th July so I have time but they don't do Sadi in Melbourne . I found one doc who does it in Queensland (dr free) and he seems to be a younger surgeon than the others

Well if your just getting the sleeve. I'm pretty sure you'll get satisfactory results. As I've seen other successes on here and my co-worker actually got the sleeve and lost 120lbs and have kept it off for 3 years now. You can't possiby overeat as it will make you feel sick, dizzy, or you'll just vomit. But you don't want to do that all the time since you can stretch your pouch and gain weight.

I find that I have more will power to resist eating junk food. But, I think because I'm not as hungry I'm better able to handle it. Before surgery if I wanted fast food junk food I had no will power what so ever and I just ate what I wanted. But, I think you'll do well. Just be positive.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
