Hospital Mi Doctor – Tijuana Bariatric Surgery Mexico

Hello everyone, I have been doing research on the gastric sleeve. I have been in contact with a rep via email stating I have been accepted.

I am wondering if anyone out there can give me a run down on the precess from hear on out.

Wondering how long it takes them to get a date set?

How many have picked this Hospital and their outcome?

Is there any Fellow Canadians that have ventured to this facility for a sleeve?

Has anyone also chosen Dr Cabrera and their opinion on his services?

I have been waiting since last Thursday for a reply for a date I sent back to them on my availability .... I did here from a fellow Pal member saying it usually does not take them long to respond. Maybe I am just anxious .. feel like a kid waiting for xmas morning. Sorry like most of you know I can't wait to start this process!

Any info would be greatly appreciated though.... !

Thanks!

Hey there. I live in Saskatchewan and went to Mi hospital in Tijuana on January 11/16 to get my sleeve done. My surgeon was Dr. Valenzulea, however, I did meet dr Cabrera twice while I was there and he was very nice.

I actually talked to my coordinator on the phone and set a date with her once I knew I had my family's support and could get the time off from work. So maybe email your coordinator and ask her to call you. Mine always called me right away when I asked her to. I talked to her the end of November and had my date set for Jan 11, although I could've gone the week before if I wanted.

I had a wonderful experience and am so glad I picked it and my doctor.

I can tell you much more if you want...there's a lot of info to tell, just let me know anything you want to know and I can help you out!
