Look up oopsie bread on here or just google it. It's made from eggs and cream

cheese. I've made pizza on that!

I'm at six months now, and I have no cravings whatsoever. food has become boring.

Skimmed through this long thread & Sharon 1964's statement [page 4?] is what we should be aiming for....being selective in what one chooses to put in their mouth, totally detached from food related emotional considerations.

That being said we have homemade pizza from scratch weekly & we need to take into account other family members needs & wants.

Well, good for you.

That's not my goal.

I actually like food. Like the taste of it, the feel of it, the ceremony of it. That doesn't mean I abdicate my responsibility for making good nutritional and caloric choices.

I'm shooting for the whole shebang: For the rest of my life, I want to enjoy all my Protein, carbs and fat. And be in control of it.

:)

That Atkins pizza is pretty high in carbs but most of the carbs are Fiber, so the net carbs are decent. The calories are too high for me. Especially since the pizza is TINY. Dr Atkins is dead. The company that bought the brand are perverting the concept to maximize profits. All these packaged products are really playing fast and loose with the rules, keep that in mind.

I buy mini cauliflower crust pizzas and add my own toppings or I make cauliflower pizza. I have never been a big pizza person, it is just to ad some variety to my diet every once in a while.

I think I posted a good cauliflower crust recipe in the recipes forum. If someone had a family they made pizza with, I think you could make that pizza and the whole family would like it.

I've made cauliflower crust pizza with and for my family a number of times. They do like it. They still want the "real thing" but I can get away with it less often. We do cauliflower crust pizza about twice a month and regular crust once a month

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
