For those of you addicted to exercise or who now love it

I went on vacation and didn't exercise for a week. It's hard to say whether I missed it or not. It was around 112 every day, so I couldn't even go for a walk. When I am home, and something conflicts with my exercise

routine, I get quite miffed. Now that I am back, I am excited to be able to go back to the gym. I never thought I would be saying that!

Terri, I can see why you would be upset that your trainer is moving. I was so excited when the gym here finally got a trainer.

I think that once you acquire the exercise habit, it's hard to give it up. Even if it's not for weight loss, the difference in my moods is quite remarkable!

If I have to miss for some reason I start to feel a little panicky. As if I"m going to gain 10# from missing a couple of days at the gym. I have to stop myself from getting in a tizzy over it and remind myself that no matter what, I'm still doing 100,000% better at exercise than I was in the old days. But that fear keeps me going back.

I have to be honest and say that this past couple of weeks I have had to "make" myself go...but I was prepared for that....it's happened before. I know from experience that once I get there I'm fine so I just put one foot in front of the other until I walk thru the door. Then, even if I am not 100% and want to cut my workout a little short, I allow myself to do that. I usually make up for it on the weekends.

funny you should ask!!! I even told my doc that , I have transfered my addiction to exercise and he said hey there are worse things I could do. I did love it before but it certinly was much more difficult for me to stay motivated long term, never reaching my weight loss goals. And then always regaining my weight. Now on the other hand I have made exercise my second job. I would never not show up for my job and I never not show up for my work out. I make sure I have a plan because trying to get fit with out a olan is like building a house with out a blue print. I have done a lot of research, hired a personal trainer to get me started and I am able to keep focused because I am not just doing it blindly. The best part is that it is working, I feel wonderful, I walk different, and dress different, and I am different.I can see definition in my arms and legs and it keeps me going.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
