Great news. Good luck at home and on your journey back to work. Don't feel the need to rush anything...just enjoy your accomplishment and do everything when your body (not your surgeon) tells you to!

@ "Nurse_Lenora" Congrats. It sounds like you're doing all of the right things. ????

I joined the folks on the losers bench this past Monday. Like you, the experience has been just fine. I've asked for very little pain meds, walked the halls in the early mornings and late afternoons, and I've been able to sleep on either side without any problems. However, I did question whether or not I made the right decision on the day after when I took-in 8 oz of broth and 8 oz of crystal light within an hour. Way way way too much for the little pouch. I had to sleep it off and start the sipping process all over the next morning. I've been good since that time and now I'm waiting on my wife to pick me up from the hospital...I'm fully discharged and ready to be home with my family.

Again, congrats and I wish you the very best.

I also joined the losers bench on 2/10/2016. How is your recovery going? The burps sucked yesterday, not so bad today. Hoping my pain level is even lower tomorrow. Most of my pain is in the incisions on the right where to extracted the remnant. How about you?

The only incision that pinches and burns a bit is the large incision where they pulled my stomach out.

But I am splinting with pillows like a mad woman to help any discomfort to a minimum.

I agree! Time to get the show on the road!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
