So...working on the next steps prior to real approval

Told I was prequalified and assigned a very nice nurse advocate.

I've sent in my weight loss records and made the consult appointment for next week... Whew, I'm a nervous wreck --- can't wait to get through the psych evaluation, get really approved and schedule a surgery

date.

Quick question though, if I already see a psychiatrist, can I use them for an eval?

I don't believe so, I tried using my current Pysch but m surgeon wanted me to use someone who didn't know history.

I'm still awaiting feedback from the evaluation :(

My psychacitrist said he would do mine. I don't know if the insurance will ask for someone else. He seemed confident that he'd be the one to do it. I am curious now. Good luck..

Thanks y'all! I'll be asking at the appointment next friday. I hope I can use my psychiatrist- would make life easier

My psych she would prefer that I see someone who specializes in bariatric evals so that there were no hiccups with approval

I also see a psych, but was referred by my surgeon to a psych who also does the evals for bariatric patients.
