11 days till surgery and i ate sugar last night! regrets!

reduced 5 pounds in three days and was at my daughters volleyball tournament late and had PB rice krispies and chili with cornbread. Woke up to acid reflex in the middle of the night. My diet plan does allow solid protein like meat, but no sugar. i feel horrible and will be drinking liquid protein for the rest of pre-op till clear liquid phase. i hope i didn't danger myself for surgery. Anyone else make this mistake? Having surgery on the 12th of Febuary

Don't panic, it's ok. Just follow your pre-op diet to the letter from now on. Pre-op is meant to shrink your liver and get you used to the changes coming. But realize you are doing this without the tool you will have after surgery. No excuses but punishing yourself is not necessary. It's not easy but it is worth it. I had a piece of birthday cake yesterday, small piece but honestly it wasn't worth it either. Didn't taste that great.

I am on 2 week liquid diet. My surgery is Feb 12th as well. It's been rough. The protein shakes are gross. I wasn't feeling to great at work and felt like I was gonna pass out, I had to have some small pretzels sticks. It's gonna be okay. We have time to fix our selves hopefully.
