About Fat Thighs...

If your thighs were so fat, you had a fat roll at the top of your thigh, as you lot did that fat roll ever smooth out, or did it just turn into hanging skin?

It probably depends on a lot of factors like age, genetics, length of time overweight etc.

Here is my experience. I carried all my weight in my torso. Lots of abdominal fat. My legs were very thin compared to the rest of my body and they were relatively toned. I never even suffered from the dreaded chub rub. My starting weight was 271 and I am 5'3" and 43 years old when sleeved. What has been a puzzle to me is I do have a palm sized patch of wrinkly loose skin on my inner thighs. It is mostly bothersome during the summer when I wear a bathing suit. I have to buy one with a small skirt or some shorts. Lucky it's high enough that it doesn't show in regular shorts.

It crazy how our bodies end up. However, it's all worth the weight loss!!!

Hope your thighs are some of the ones that tone back up!!!

For me, it is hanging skin. Ugh! I do have a lot of it but hopefully some day I can do something about that.

Yeah I know it depends on a lot of things. I just wanted to ask. 100lbs down and it looks like it is going to be a disaster area.

Oh, I had fat thighs. By the time I was done they were saggy, loose, fat thighs. I had a groin incision thigh lift, so most of the bad part was cut off, however I still have fat thighs, lol. Also, I had that stupid roll at the top of my thighs which I specifically asked my doctor to target with liposuction while he did the lift- no more fat roll.

My outer thigh roll is still there - albeit smaller. Inner thigh is gross loose skin. So - yes to both your questions! :D Sure hope it keeps going down. If not, I will definitely have thigh lift some day....

Yeah I am already researching doctors and planning on a thigh lift and arm lift as top priorities.

I carried most weight in torso but had very fat inner thighs, but only up high. Not a pretty sight as it did turn into saggy skin. Also everywhere else the fat seems gone, but I had cellulite on the upper, inner thigh even post weight loss.

Hanging thigh skin, saggy butt skin, droopy boob skin. Guess a bikini is forever out of the question for me. :P

Oh Yeah. I am the queen of the fat thigh. Actually, my entire legs are fat. I lost 145 pounds, and the hanging fat roll (one thigh only) never seemed to change much, just looked deflated. Had a 360 lower body lift, and then a vertical thigh lift. Still have fat thighs. The skin still has some laxity, lots of cellulite, and not smooth like I wish. After the thigh lift, the roll was gone, and skin was much, much better, but as I described above. I had really bad saddlebags (my whole life, but the heavier I got, the less pronounced they were) that the surgeries I had seemed to make them more pronounced. So, 2 weeks ago I had some pretty significant liposuction on them. Too soon to know how the results will be, but one thing is certain, they will still be where I carry the most of my weight. Still with loose skin, fat, wrinkles.

So, you'd think I'd be unhappy, but I'm not. They are so much better than what I started from. It's all relative. Even without plastics, in Spanx and clothes, they looked perfectly fine.

MichiganChic - did the 360 lower body lift help with the thighs at all? Mine don't look AWFUL but they are a little deflated. I was hoping if I got the 360 that would help. I really want to have a brachioplasty and an abdominoplasty...but if the 360 helped the thighs...I might do that. I'm no where near ready for plastics yet, but dreaming!

I wear a thigh shaper almost all the time. It seems like I am losing weight in my thighs and the most I lose the bigger that fat roll at the top looks. The skin on my thighs however doesn't seem like it has lost all elasticity like my stomach or my arms. I have hope for my thighs overall, just the inner thigh at the top seems hopeless, I think it has taken too much abuse from thigh rub.

I have friends with beach homes, so I am going to get my legs and arms fixed for sure if I have to. I plan on freeloading at every beach and lake house I can.

My legs were really big but they did tighten up fairly well. It's my stomach and butt that are in need of repair :( you never know.. Just wait and see!!

@@Margie122 the 360 lift did help with outer thighs, and only the upper third. I think for someone with a mild problem it would be enough for that area. For inner thighs, you need something specific for that area.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
