Got my surgery consult date! April 15th! That means I really gotta get back on track with my diet and exercise. The last thing I need is to have gained weight by then.

Things are going pretty quickly....it's looking like a mid May surgery date possibly.

Hey @@almond_jay ... I was wondering how your consult went. What did the doc say?

As for me, I am waiting for my call now. I lost a total of 19.7 pounds.. 6 more for my 10% during options. This call, I feel, is taking forever!!! Lol

Doc appointment went well and I have my surgery date, May 3rd. So only 2 weeks until my surgery. I'm super nervous now.

I'm so happy for you. I hope mine comes that fast too. What all do you have to do to prepare? 2 weeks will be here before you know it. How exciting!!

As far as the surgeon is concerned...all I need to do is be on a liquid diet 2 days prior to surgery and then the night before no liquid or food.

For my prep I'm ordering/buying everything I need. Vitamins, baby utensils, gas x strips, dry mouth stuff, non slip socks, Protein powder, sugar free Jello, sugar free pudding, Soups, Isopure (for the first few days after surgery), low sodium chicken broth, greek yogurt, sugar free Popsicle, firming cream, and bite tip Water bottle.

I'm probably over doing it, but I want to be prepared and have everything go as smoothly as possible. I've been researching everything so I'm super prepared.

I thought that the took sugar free pudding off the list. I had my surgery in February and wasn't allowed pudding, but let me tell you, sugar free Jello was my go to. I should have taken a picture of our refrigerator. My daughter made a box of Jell-O, India filled 2oz cups. There were 2-3 dozen cups stacked! Lol

Heyyyyyy @@thegentleoso ... I had wondered what had happened to you. How is the weight loss going? How much have you lost? You're about 2 months post op, tell me about t your experience. I'd love to hear about it.

I also plan on using the Jello.

@@thegentleoso I guess it depends on your surgeon. They all have different rules. You're at West LA right?

Well.. I just got my "call" they told me that I haven't gone to my OB-GYN to get birth control. I didn't know it was mandatory so I brushed it off since I am single. They can't send the referral until I go. I just got off the phone with the appointment center and they are booked. ???? I feel like crying. I'm so sad that I cheated real bad.

Wait what? That is so strange! I didn't have to get birth control or go to the OB. It is so weird how everyone's experience is so different.

Hey, I am doing great, 9 weeks out, I have lost 40 since the surgery, lost a lot the first couple weeks, then I have been averaging about 3-4 pounds a week, and I had a stall for a little over 2 weeks. Physically I am doing great! Getting all my walking in, usually hitting my 10,000 steps and more on my fitbit, and now starting to weight lifting. Did I mention my pants are 10" smaller since the beginning of options!

Oh wow 40 pounds! I hope I lose that much. How was recovery after the surgery? Were you in a lot of pain?

So I got a same day appointment today for OB and as luck would have it, my visitor came today 3 hours before my appointment. Yey me ???? I went in anyway and she discussed my options with me and scheduled me for 1 week later for the IUD. I was bummed because they won't send my referral until I have it done. I am already being delayed more than I would have liked. But at least I know I will have surgery soon. I need to stop dragging my feet in the mud and suck it up. It's not like this minor set back is preventing me from having the surgery. It's just a couple of weeks delayed. Did I just give myself a pep talk? Lol ... Just venting a little..

I was literally out of bed within 15 minutes after I got into my room. I had to wait for them to take out my catheter. One pretty nurse, and a pretty nursing student from Santa Monica college. Just out of surgery, and I am already getting attention from the ladies! Lol As far as pain, I never took my pain medication after I left the hospital because I didn't need it. As far as pain, I felt like I did a bunch of sit-ups the night before, nothing I couldn't handle

When insurance authorizes the surgery is when you'll be able to set a date

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
