Yuck Mouth & Foul Breath ~ Gross!

I am almost 8 weeks post op gastric sleeve. W. T. F. is going on inside my mouth? I can taste how bad my breath is. It seems like I've been eating cow dung and chasing it with dog poop. I know ketosis can create some funk but my gawd I'm offending myself. I'm taking steps back when I talk to people or turning my head like some weirdo. I am contemplating wearing a surgical mask. WHEN DOES THIS STOP!?!?!

Everything she said. You are going through Ketosis right now. I don't know if you were diabetic before the surgery, but I was and it was horrible for me. Even now, 13 months out every now and then my mouth is dry and I have the horrible tasting breath. Altoids helps with the breath smell. I still check my sugars just to make sure I am not over doing it.

Ketone breath is not prettybut don't despair. It means you're burning fat and losing weight! I carry mini altoids around the office and have a toothbrush an mouthwash in my file cabinet.
