I would like to hear about the good and the bad@!

:help:I am wanting to get the lap band surgery... I have heard soooo many good things about it, but I would also like to hear the bad. The way my surgon talked, replacement and leakages are not a worry.... any comments that you have would be helpful! Thanks!

My experience has been nothing but great!

If I would have gotten my fills sooner, I would have lost more weight. So, getting regular fills until you have restriction is important to losing. If you have no restriction, you will eat and therefore maintain, which is good or gain a little.

Very few of us have had problems with our bands.

One year out and problem free so far. I agree, hitting your sweet spot is the key. It took me 5 fills but once you hit it I don't think I'll need any more ever. It's been one year this month and I'm a slow loser but still I've lost 80 pounds so can't complain too much.

You will absolutely love your band. I wouldn't take anything for mine and I was self pay so I'm kind of partial to mine, lol.

Hi everyone, just want to say bye for a few days. I leave in the morning for Mexico and my band with Dr. Zapata. I will be back late Sun. night. I sure hope this works for me. It seems some people have not lost much. I exercise though and i am sure that will help. See everyone soon. Donna

Best thing about my band---it has given me my life back. I have energy and HOPE. I have control over food, and my own hunger.

Worst thing about my band---would have had to be the hair loss I experienced. It was scary, but temporary, and growing back now...but if thee were a bad part that would be it.

Good Luck, hope your trip, your surgery, and your recovery are all uneventful!!!!
