While on the Puree/liquid diet I didnt really have a full feeling like I was used to before RNY. I was able to consume much more than what Nutrition and the surgeon stated. That was the Puree/Liquid only!!! Let me tell you once the real food comes back even just the soft It is a different story entirely. The FULL feeling is so different than what I was used to. to me it is a Tightness. Or a fullness but Different. I dont realy know how to explain it. Weird thing was I was able to consume 8 - 12oz of creamed Soup or a can of V-8 no problem. I have no problem with fluids whatsoever. But I cannot handle much more than 1/4 cup of food... It is so weird. You will know..

Thanks big guy. I was worried as I can drink liquids without hesitation. At least I know I am not alone there. Haven't really eaten too much since I am still on purée but I hope the full feelings happen then!

My stomach will hurt and my nose starts to run. I'll hiccup as well. If I really tune in I'll realize the food has started to taste bad.

I'll know from the tightness in my stomach and chest that if I take another bite I'll vomit. There is a "DO NOT PASS" line for sure.

I thought I was crazy. My nose starts to run too.

I'm very curious as to what that correlation would be between a nose running and getting pouch-full? That would be an interesting study.

I think it has to do with your body thinking you have something stuck in your esophagus and producing mucus to help get it down. I found that if I start foaming/frothing, I just need to spit out all the extra salvia.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
