  5. New video! Surviving the Holidays!
  6. It is definitely difficult and I had my own struggles but it is worth it. My organs were shrunk for the surgery like the diet is supposed to do and I had no complications which I am forever thankful for. Stay strong!!

  8. Belive me, I know what you mean. I started a YouTube channel as well to document my progress and help other people since YouTube videos by Mellie Mae and similar helped me to take this life changing journey. While I do agree it is kind of scary, we all need to not care about what people think. As selfish as it is, this journey is about us!

  13. Alright I am 10 days post-op and on the Phase II/Puree diet but have not figured out what my full signal is (if any). Currently, I am just eating the starting amount (typically 2 TBS) and have not pushed it. My question to everyone is, what is your full signal and where does it present? (IE: Slight pressure in the chest) I am trying to figure out if I am getting the signal and just haven't made the connection yet or have not hit the magic quantity yet. Thanks!

  18. I am sorry to hear about your father but am very glad you made the decision to get the surgery to better your health. Have you been able to shake the high cholesterol blood pressure and diabetes yet?
  19. I have posted my second video recapping my first week post-op. You can see it here: https://youtu.be/3a_abSPZ0xo
  20. I had mine on the 2nd! 1 week out and feeling good!
  21. So I am less than 24 hours away from my surgery! I have been on my liquid diet for 2 weeks and 6 LONG days but it has been fun as i have lost on average 1-2 pounds a day for a total of 25 pounds! The diet is a b***h but worth it if it lessens the risk of complications from surgery. I have decided to document everything and start a YouTube channel since it helped me make the leap of faith and start this journey. I will be posting weekly so people can see the good and bad of surgery and hopefully help others decide if surgery is good for them. My YouTube channel is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx-z0jZVXX6Atd6EscOwxdw if you would like to see my progress. That being said, what was the point in your life that got you to decide on surgery?
  22. Don't know how normal it is but I am 5 days in to preop and am cold too.
