  8. I had the same pain and was told it was the nerves healing. To me it felt like a burning, stabbing pain. I had my surgery on 10/13 and it finally stopped hurting last week. Give it time.
  9. You will do just fine. Best wishes!!!
  10. This is what I've been battling, should I speak about it on FB or not. As of now I've decided not too. The people that I've told i had surgery outside of my immediate circle have all been judgmental. So sick of the you didn't need that and you could've loss it on your own. Not to mention most are people who are battling weight issues as well. I sense a little "hate".

  13. Yes it did. At first I thought they were giving me meds in the hospital, but no they weren't. Went to my post-op appointment yesterday and it's still down, so she told me not to start back. Were going to monitor it in 2 weeks when I go back. She's almost sure it will be down even more when I go back then.
  14. That is truly what I'm looking forward too. Everyone has already asked for my old clothes. I love to shop!!!

  17. My story... Where do I begin... October 2014 I had enough. My blood pressure was spiraling out of control and I had to do something. I went to a seminar here in Columbia, SC and was sold that the gastric bypass was what I needed to change my life. Like many others I had so many failed attempts at losing weight. I began my journey then. My insurance required 6 months of office visits and a battery of other tests as most do. My 6 months ended up being 8 months because I was unable to get a visit several months. Once I was finished my lab work came back showing I was anemic which pushed my surgery back several more months to fix the problem. I was finally submitted to my insurance company early September and got the call around Sept 28th that I was approved and my surgery date would be October 13th. My surgery went really great but I ended up staying in the hospital for 4 days as oppose to two because my sinuses started to drain and they made me really nauseous and I couldn't hold anything down. So I'm now 5 days post-op and I can't wait to get back to the old me... Oh and since the surgery my blood pressure has been normal. Go figure!!!
  18. I'm glad you got your approval fast. That time waiting will literally drive you crazy. I got my approval around September 28 after waiting 3 weeks and I had my surgery this past Tuesday, October 13.
