I am planning to go in the beginning of next year and get sleeved. I haven't talked to my SO about it yet. I'm not sure if he will be on board. How did you bring it up? If your SO isn't supportive, can you go alone? Do you need a buddy?

I am hoping to have surgery in the next couple of months or early next year and I will be going alone. My husband will be staying at home to care for our daughter. I don't have anyone else who can really go. I don't mind doing it alone and I think it'll be better. I won't feel the need to be awake or entertain my buddy, I can just worry about healing.

You should have no issues if you are going with a serious company that offers you excellent patient services, they must not live you alone, someone has to take care of you at the hospital, recovery house and hotel, since you will stay two days after they discharge you from the hospital, make sure, you will have someone taking you for walks, sightseeing, if you are interested in visiting certain places, that person must help you, or just order you food, so, before coming, make a good research.

Haha. I booked with you, Ana. I have no worries that I'll be well taken care of next week when I'm in Mexico! I am going alone. I am not concerned at all about my stay, I know I'll be taken care of. I have some concern about the trip home, but I'll manage. I'll just have to ask for help if I need it.
