Anyone having surgery in November?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Wow...our dates are exactly the same Stephanie! Right now I am researching and trying different supplements. I tried a cherry b-12 sublingual that was super gross. Hoping to find something better. Gonna try Bariatric Advantage berry multi Vitamin chews...I am hoping it tastes like a starburst:)

My date is also November 30th. It seems like there are alot of us with that date!!!! Yay!

I have tried just about every Multivitamin, Calcium citrate, and Vit B12.< /p>

I highly recommend Bariatric fusion mixed berry Multivitamin soft chews. They are fantastic and don't taste like a Vitamin at all. $22.99 for one month supply. 3 chews twice daily.

OR

For cheaper version ONCE a day ProCare chewable Multivitamin (size is not bigger than as aspirin)

$11.99 for one month supply.

These are very popular as there are not many Vitamins out there that you can get away with only taking once, they have been on backorder.

calcium citrate I highly recommend

Bariatric Advantage 500mg in Caramel flavor. Delicious!!! Tastes like a caramel butterscotch. They are a bit pricey though.

Vitamin B12, I highly recommend the Celebrate sublingual quick melt in mint flavor. These taste great, like a sweet mint, and melts super quick. Very reasonable price 15.95 for 3 month supply

I just tried the calcium chews from bariatric advantage and I totally agree the caramel is awesome I also like the raspberry. I just got a variety pack of Bariatric Fusion shake mixes I am trying all the flavors to see which one I would like to go with for my liquid reduction diet! Thanks for the info.

I will try the mint b12...thanks for the suggestion! I am excited for all of us with November surgery dates. Think we should start a Facebook group as others have done for people who share the same surgery month. Being able to message in real time with Facebook might be cool. Anyone interested in this?

Hi, I'm new. I am having surgery on November 19th and I'm scared to death!!! Scared about the surgery and all of the changes. Glad to find this group!

P.S. - my doctor didn't mention a pre-op diet. Anyone else not having to do one?

Jen

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
