Is there a measurement for pre op success?

Hi, I'm just beginning to explore lapband surgery. My husband says if I cannot go on a liquid diet before my consultation then he wonders if the whole procedure will be successful.

Can i still be successful if I manage the pre op liquid diet but not before my consultation?

    Hi, I was told at my consultation to try to lose weight before surgery. I gained 3 lbs! My Doc never mentioned it. After surgery, I lost 25 lbs before my first fill. The surgery is a tool you will have to be disiplined. The reason they want you to lose weight is to shrink the liver, which has to be lifted during surgery.
