I've got my Date Oct. 19, Anyone close to that?

Just wondering if there is anyone in the area(Michigan) who had a date close to mine or anyone in general for that matter that we could help each other out along the way :-) Its getting to the last few weeks and my nerves are starting to get to me.

Yay, I finally found a Protein drink that works for me which I'm stoked about because its been a long 6 mos trying all the different brands and flavors.

Is it strange that I made sure to up my life insurance policy just in case something bad happens, for some reason I am only thinking of the bad and not the good that can come out of this! Suggestions?

Thanks!

Getting mixed emotions about the surgery. I am excited I'm getting it done, anxious its so close yet seems like it will be the LONGEST 1.5 weeks of my life.

Totally on liquid diet since Monday- did have tomato Soup for dinner one night :( . Eating Greek yogurt and drinking high Protein low sugar drinks , crystal light , sugar free ice pops and sugar free Jello.

I have been very private about it, only telling 1 friend and my supervisor for the time off at work. I feel uneasy discussing it . Anyone else feel like this?

I was scheduled for the 26th of October, but they called today and moved it up to the 19th. I start liquid diet tomorrow. Wow this is happening pretty fast. Tyler, TX here

Hi, I'm having the sleeve 10/14. I just created a Facebook group for October sleevers support. It's secret so nobody can search it or see the posts. If you'd like to be added, message me your email.

I can't believe it's almost here - Monday can't come fast enough. Just picked up my post-op meds - pain, anti-acid, gallbladder reliever, and anti-nausea.

I am starting all Clear liquids tomorrow and doing a double dose of milk of magnesium - Saturday and Sunday to make sure I'm all ready to rumble (no pun intended) on Monday.

I can see that there is an uneasiness in discussing bariatric surgery. There is such a stigma to it. People see it as lazy and cheating, but those of us going through it know that is not the case. Just remember you are doing this for you and your health. Good luck!

Good Luck on the 19th!

Hi physically I'm doing fine,,, sore and bloated,, but I have now come to the reality of battling my addiction to eating,, I am bored ,, but too soon after surgery to do too much

I have no appetite whatsoever but my mind tells me go in and eat something you'll feel better go cook something anything with do with food,,, although I'm not hungry! It a emotional crutch,,, I think the battle to defeat my mind will be the hardest battle I will fight,, for it knows all the right buttons to push

But on the bright side I have gone through this battle with my mind when I quit smoking,, going on 4 yrs smoke free,,, and I know every day,, week ,, month I go with out giving in to this mind game that I'm playing ,,, it will become easier,,
