  6. You are absolutely right! They do all this work to eat better and don't bother to pass that gift to their children-RIDICULOUS! As for your not having a valid opinion on parenting because you don't have kids, well, I think that is just not true! Right is right and what you said is RIGHT!

  12. Wow BigViffer you look great!! You have lost an amazing amount!
  13. I'm so glad you gave him a break, I know my man was scared to death about my surgery and I only found that out once I woke up. My mom told me he was really upset and worried while they were in the waiting room
  14. yes he is!!! I would like your post but for some reasons my phone app won't allow me to yes he is!!! I would like your post but for some reasons my phone app won't allow me to

  16. Smart man! Lol yes he is!! He heard my dr give me direct orders not to weigh anywhere but his office and all it took was one great big fit and out the scale went!! Things have quieted down since then and for all of sakes I'm glad it did. My only problem is that I cannot give anyone any kind of time frame for how long my stall lasted because I have no idea!!
  17. Oh wow well I really think you already know what you need to do and I understand about being stuck so make a plan and start trying to put a little away until you get enough to go and it might take a while but as long as he isn't abusing you, you will be ok! Didn't you say y'all were married for 20 + years? If so, another few months or a year won't hurt! You deserve to be loved and have affection- you really do!
  18. I am in a stall too!! I lost 22 lbs since my surgery on October 19, and I have been in a stall for a couple of weeks! I may have broken the stall because I don't weigh now so there is no way of knowing! It made me get crazy mad like you did and my fiancé took my scale and put it in the back of his truck lol so I will find out how much or how little I have lost next week at my dr appt !! You are not alone
  19. Wow I can't believe they approved that for such a low weight, the sleeve will help you stay at a low weight I guess but it is a major surgery!
  20. Yea I don't know, now I am changing my mind but if I were you I would make it super clear that you are willing to bend over backwards to make this work but it doesn't seem like he is doing the same. Maybe do something to show him just how serious this really is for you by maybe not depositing your check into that joint account! That might get his attention that you are mean business! Sometimes we need a shock to get our attention and he may be one of those people! If you don't have the same feeling you used to have counseling may be a little late.

  22. Thanks, dlappjr, I just think people give up too easily anymore and leave unanswered questions behind so do all you can and leave it all on the field before throwing in the towel that way you don't have to look back as you are leaving either together or apart!
  23. It is clear that you really love your husband so if I were you I would get that job and pay half for the counseling if he is worth the effort! Some people may argue with me on that but if I were you I would want to know I did everything I could to save my marriage before I threw in the towel! You may decide to still leave in the end but at least you can say you tried just in case there is an issue that you couldn't see that a counselor may see!
  24. Wow I think they have hit the nail on the head!! I think your guy is insecure. Counseling could be helpful if he is willing to really try to be open, honest and willing but if not, you may just be spinning your wheels! You might try building him up and trying to make him feel more safe about you and where you are headed but if he has really deep insecurities, there may be little you can do.
  25. Oh I am so glad this thread is up because my mom really wants to have this surgery and she is in her early 70s and is very active but her weight has always been an issue. I can't wait to tell her that they do the procedure for her age group.
