The longest an insurance has taken to approve surgery

How long did it take for your insurance company to approve your surgery?

I am on pins and needles. My doctor's office submitted my information to BCBS of TX a week and a half ago. I called today and the case is in review. I know it hasn't even been two weeks yet, but I am so anxious. I am thinking of starting the full liquid pre-op diet next week, just to be ahead of the game when it comes time to set a surgery date. (The surgeon won't set a date until insurance has approved.)

I am so ready for this to happen!! Hurry Up!

I was approved within 2 days. If you don't count the weekend. Mine was submitted to my insurance company late Thursday afternoon and I got the call on Monday saying I was approved. But I had spoken to my insurance company a few times dearing my swl visits and same with the girls in my doctors office. So once my insurance received all of my stuff they knew my case.

I have BCBS of AL and was approved instantly. My doctor's office submitted it online and got an instant response.
