    Liquid diet begins

Good luck with your liquid diet. I am day 5 of mine. Starting to have some head hunger, but I don't feel one bit hungry. I think I got lucky and I am only doing a one week liquid diet. The last two days is Isopure only, so we'll see how that goes. Stay strong!
  2. How long did it take for your insurance company to approve your surgery? I am on pins and needles. My doctor's office submitted my information to BCBS of TX a week and a half ago. I called today and the case is in review. I know it hasn't even been two weeks yet, but I am so anxious. I am thinking of starting the full liquid pre-op diet next week, just to be ahead of the game when it comes time to set a surgery date. (The surgeon won't set a date until insurance has approved.) I am so ready for this to happen!! Hurry Up!
  3. I hope to be sleeved mid-October. The ball is in the doctor's court. He is sending all my information to the insurance company. So, I am to wait to hear from his surgery coordinator. I would like to find someone in my area as a support buddy. I haven't told very many people because I don't want to hear the negative comments. Let me know if you would like to be friends and who your surgeon is. Thanks
  4. Hi J.lynn, It's nice to hear from you! I am using Dr. David Dyslin from North Texas Weight Loss. He has offices in Mansfield and Arlington. I work in Irving at a doctor office and Dr. Swanson actually rents space from us once a week. He is a very nice man. His whole office is pleasant. That's from working with them. So, he must be a good doctor because my experience is the doctor is usually rude if he works WITH you, but Dr. Swanson is different. I hope to hear from my insurance company this week. I may be hoping too soon, but I really want to get this scheduled and get it done. :-)
  5. Hi Sleevers, The doctor is submitting my information to the insurance company for approval. I have BCBS of TX. Does anyone have an idea how long they take to make a decision? I am hoping to have the surgery mid-October. After the surgery, I would like to return to work in one week. I have a desk job and don't see why that wouldn't be okay. Does anyone have experience with returning to work after one week post surgery? Thanks
  6. Thank you for your responses. I will have to wait and see. I won't push myself. I too have an hour drive to and from work. I didn't even factor that information in. I only have one week vacation saved up. I could save more, but that would put me into December for the surgery. I am ready NOW....lol
  7. Well, that depends on the day and time....lol I live in Fort Worth...I20 and 287 area. Surgery will be at USMD hospital off I20 and Matlock. I work in Irivng. We attend church in Mansfield on Mansfield Webb. How about yourself?
