Day 4 preop diet / not so badd

Okay today is day 4 of my pre op diet. I really dont feel like Im starving, like I thought I would. Its actually getting easier day by day. I have having lots of headaches. Dont know if its from hunger or simply from the carbs and caffeines I have cut out. Any ideas as to what helps with the headaches besides asprin or medication, because without food in my stomach, any medications make me sick....

I am on day 6 and I agree it is not as bad as I thought it would be. I have lost 13.6lbs so far and had a bad headache the first 2 days. I attributed it to sugar and caffeine withdrawals. Have not had one since then. Hope that helps

I am on day 5 of Opti fast - banding to be the 23 and I have had headaches every day - I am struggling because everything is so sweet - bars and drink - even if I mix something with my water it is sweet - but I am making it - - - really am moody and weepy -anyone else have that.

Glad to find you :o

Dear DISTANT0098

Go to the store and get some PEDIALYTE, you are down in electrolytes!!

THe exact same thing happened to me and I thought I was losing it as I NEVER get headaches....

WIthin an hour or two I was feeling better and energetic too... its amazing what some potassium and salts will do for you!

I also used an ICE BAG on my head and tylenol

Best of luck
