Hi there! Dr. Pennings just did my surgery this past Friday. It went great and I am doing great so far. Are you planning to go to his support group, or do you know of some in Spokane? I'm willing to drive over from Spokane Valley, but definitely think I will be more regular at one closer to home. Kim

I plan on doing the support groups online! I need to call and figure out how to do that. I was great in the hospital but being home is a whole other playing field lol. Its very hard not being able to guzzle water. Im so thirsty! I have just been drinking water, havent got but a few sips of shake in a day.

Lol. We must have been! I've been doing great since getting home. Try some drinks with electrolytes, like G2 Gatorade or Vitamin Water Zero. That's helped me get on the other side of my dehydration. Personally, I use an Isagenix product called Replenish that I can just mix in my water. I've been sipping on about 40 ounces of that and water, as well as some Bariwise hot chocolate that has protein added. Haven't had any upset stomach so far. At first, my "sips" were too big and I had to adjust that, but some swelling must be going down because today I haven't noticed that as much. I'm in Spokane Valley.

Thanks so much for the advice! Ill look into that! What is the difference in the Isagenix protien powder than Whey or Muscle Milk? Id be interested in trying it out! Yeah doing some adjusting today has helped. Ahhh, Im so glad you medsaged me! I really needed someone who is going through it too! What better way than having someone on the same day/same dr?! Lol :)

Honestly, the Isagenix Protein powder doesn't have enough protein grams for my liking, so I'm actually trying out some others. Jenni, the dietician gave me some samples of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury, which I think the office has available. I made the unflavored one with sf Jello today and it turned out great. I like the Optimum Nutrition that you can buy at costco, 24 g of protein per scoop and it's really creamy. At some point, I'd also like to try the Isopure and the Syntrax nectar products because I've read a lot of really good reviews. I'm going to stick with the other Isagenix products like Replenish and Ionix Supreme because they're not full of sugar and have good Vitamins.

I'm so glad to get connected with you too! Take care of yourself!

My surgery wasn't in Idaho but Spokane, WA. Saw you're located in Moscow. I'm just across the state line in Pullman. A gf of mine also had the surgery last month. So there's a few of us on the Palouse that have been through the process. Haven't found any support groups down here though ????

How're you feeling Bonniegold?

@naturegirl- sorry I am still trying to figure this app out :) Thats so awesome! We should start a group!! Maybe we can meet up once a month or something and set up a fb group so we can ask questions and what not. Its been a journey! Im only a week out and head hunger/emotions have been pretty intense this evening. How are you doing?!
