25, Long Island, sleeve on 8/24/15

So this Monday I will be beginning my 2 week liquid diet and I'm starting to get really nervous. I don't know how I'm gonna handle not eating that long. Also I am an x-Ray tech and only have a week off from it. How did everyone feel 1 week post-op? I could also really use a buddy to talk about the journey with who actually understands what it's like!

I was sleeved on July 29th. I feel great. I'm so ready to go back to work. However I work in customer care so I sit a lot. 1 week might not be enough for a person that move around a lot because you still have achy moments! Good luck with your surgery I'm in NJ by the way.

I'm still pre-op. Going in on Monday 8/10 for surgery. I'm just curious where on Long Island and what surgeon. I'm in Patchogue and I'm with Dr Arif Ahmad in Port Jefferson.

One week post op I felt okay day 3 and 4 were the worst but after that I was back at work and walking 5 miles a day moving around sitting did bother me tho on my incision where they took my stomach out .

Honestly I think it depends on your insurance. Once I was done with the pre stuff and it was summitted I was approved within a week, but I have ghi and they said they are really fast. Hope that helps and good luck! I am about 8 weeks out and down 40 pounds :)
