Should my Primary Care Doctor send me for my Sleep Test or will the Surgeon

My insurance will only pay for this banding if I have Diabetes or heart conditon or Sleep Apnea. I am trying to not get my hopes up on this but I really want this done.

Either one can refer you. If you have an appt coming up w/ one of them, ask then. If not, just call your surgeons office and see if he will fax one over to the hospital (or wherever you will have it done). Thats what mine did.

My surgeon gave me a list of tests to be done and doctors I needed to see. Then my PCP gave me the referrals to the specific doctors. Getting Pulmonary Clearance was one step, that’s where the sleep study comes in. (I had to do 2)
