Lap Band to Sleeve Conversion

I'm, unfortunately, one of those where the band just did not do the job as hoped. I received the band in July 2006, but to recent health issues and yo-yo weigh-ins, I'm being referred for the sleeve. Considering the actual success rate, I'm very much looking forward to starting the journey to the sleeve.

So I'm wondering, has anyone had any experience with the revision? How did it go with insurance, the requirements, etc?

I'm a revision patient. My insurance took care of most of the surgery it just takes awhile but it worth it. I started w a lapband for 4 yrs and gained all back w the yoyo wt also but I'm 3 weeks out of surgery & I'm feelin fantastic. I had type2 diabetes & they require 40BMI minimum & @ least one health issue like high BP or diabetes something wt related..can't wait to hear more about your journey.

God Bless you
