Surgery Wednesday still in pain?

Hi guys,

I was sleeves on Wednesday AM and was feeling a whole ton better aside from some constipation pain. I took an enema to get over that but now the main surgery site is incredibly tender and painful tonite. I can't tell if it's normal to still be hurting this much since I was up and about far more today or if I did something wrong and screwed something up. I don't have a fever or anything but I am terrified of what the issue may be. Anyone else dealt with pain for several days after?

Yes! I am up in the night right now with pain. I had my sleeve done Monday and I am not only sore on the laparo sites but my left hip is cramped up and I've still have a lot of gas pain. I just took a 2mg morphine to see if it will ease off. I wonder if mine has to do with the fact that am an insulin dependent diabetic (using a pump 5-plus years) and already had a lot of aches and pain to begin with. Or maybe I am just a wimp. This week has been tough but I feel as if I've come a long way.

No it's normal, I hurt more on day 3 than any. I got a stronger pain pill prescribed and by day 7 I was ok. Everyone's different but mine defiantly wasn't pain free, it hurt!

It is normal, you did just have major surgery after all. I had pain until day 3 and the more I got up and moved around as I was supposed to do the more I was tired and realized just how much I needed to recover. You will do fine, just work through it. Good luck!!
