I haven't even made it through the end of this thread....I'm crying too much to see right now!!

I am SO happy to find it -- I am going to read it EVERY day that I find myself discouraged!

Thank you ALL and God bless!

Best of luck with your surgery tomorrow. You'll do fine! And very soon you'll be posting on this thread, my dear! VERY soon!! :)

Banded 4/24/07

45 lbs down

I can climb 5 flights of stairs at work without feeling like i'm going to die.

I can bend down to paint my toenails without cutting off my breath

I can go longer on the treadmill

I can feel the bones in my hands and face - what a treat

My rings are falling off

My blood sugar/blood pressure has gone down to normal

Tried on some clothes that I hadn't worn in a long time - 22/24 - and finally feel like I'll never see the previous 30/32 again

I can finally use my scale that goes to 300 cuz I'm in "twoterville"!!!!

Hey, I just realized the patch of exzema I had on my arm for the past 8 months totally went away! I haven't had to use any medicinal creams on it since I got the band!

I'm not banded yet, but I've been dreaming....

:faint:... Imagine buying what I "like" rather than "what fits!"

.... I am looking forward to the day I wake up to get dressed for work and don't have to worry if my blouse will still button... I only have "five" work outfits that fit (sort of)... so if I'm not careful, I'll have to call in sick! :sick And won't it be wonderful when these 5 outfits don't fit me anymore because they are TOO BIG! There will be no tears shed (well, maybe tears of joy)!

:Banane21:... Won't it be nice when my favorite outfit becomes my LEAST favorite once I see a photo of me wearing it...

... Sitting on the floor with me little granddaughters to play... being able :pto keep up to them without *ME* being the one who needs a nap!

:bored... clipping my toenails

.:clap2:.. running up and down the steps at home like they're acutally fun... right now I dread each trip up and down...

:rolleyes... not needing a special "gown" when I go for my mammogram & physicals...

:)... no food spots on my "shelf" where things seem to fall at each meal...

:Banane21:... not having to stretch out my t-shirts to fit around me...

:notagree... sleeping peacfully and blissfully as I become healthier

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
