If so who's your doctor going to be?

Are you traveling to Mexico?

Do you need a partner/Buddy?

Where are you from?

I'm looking to team up with someone or one's???? to take this life changing journey with. I don't want to travel alone????

Hi,

I finished 3 of 6 nutrition appointments, so I hope to be approved in late October and scheduled in November. I am in the Washington, DC area and I will be sleeved at Providence Hospital.

I'm always looking for buddies, but I haven't been on this site much lately. I spend a lot of time with my FB WLS groups, but I will make a note to come here more!

I will be finishing my 6 months supervised October 5th and if Insurance approves I will get sleeved end of October or first of November. I am in Palmyra Virginia and will have surgery at Martha Jefferson Hospital with Dr. Stokes. (fingers crossed)

I'm on track right now for late October / early November. My surgeon will be Dr. Nwanguma, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. I'm new to the forum...first time posting in fact! I'd love to have someone to talk to that's going through this at the same time.

Let's definitely stay in touch! I feel like the months are dragging on, but I'm trying to be patient.

My surgeon's office scheduled my date on the first visit, which is so odd! I'm November 4th, assuming that I get approved and get all the necessary testing done in time!! I'm happy to see there's some other late Fall surgery friends on here!! :)

Good luck!!

I'm in VA also (Hampton Roads). I graduate from my 12 month program on September 30. Then I just need insurance approval! Hoping for mid October!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
