Feel like I'll pop if I put anything else in my mouth today.

I was sleeved 3 days ago. So far today I've had an 8oz. Protein shake, about two tablespoons of mashed potatoes and a 20 oz. Powerade Zero. My stomach just feels bloated. Could it still be gas from the surgery?about this time every day I'm just miserable.

Your little tummy is really swollen and very narrow. It's just going to feel that way until the swelling goes down.

It sucks, but that's the name of the game.Keep trying to get those fluids in!

The first 10 days I didn't have anything but clear liquids - 1/2 cup broth per day was all I could handle as far as calories go. It will feel much better as the days go on.

Yeah first 3 days are clear liquids. Then 4th-14th day is full liquids. Then 15th day start soft foods. I imagine you do feel bloated. Your tummy is not ready for what you're putting in it. I can only do 3oz of anything at a time and I'm 17 days out. I just started soft foods this week. Take care and don't over do it.

I had one week after surgery of soup broth and Gatorade 2 before touching Puree foods the following week. Mash potatoes are heavy. Be careful.

I came home from hospital and was told to advance to puree. I ate refried beans and SF Jello, I am now one mouth out and can eat anything except seeds, nuts, etc.

Mashed at three days out? I'm not surprised you feel that way!

Remember, your tummy is still numb so you won't feel restriction. My very first food was mashed but that was at week three (day 15) after surgery. Even then, they were thinned down with gravy. Two teaspoons and I was stuffed.

Yeah I could have protein shakes starting day 2 and 60 gr is the goal but not purée food for 2 weeks the potatoes need to go away

Might want to talk to your doctor, at least for 3 weeks fluids only, but even with fluids only it feels that way too???? had mine done last Tuesday
