Had my first meeting with Dr. Mcdevitt my surgeon today!

My dr is amazing! Not only does he not rush the process, he makes sure you are emotionally, physically, medically, and PREPARED before he even schedules your surgery date. So I'm looking anywhere between 3 to 4 months out for my surgery. We decided on VSG bc I have really bad arthritis among other things. I got put on the no bread, starches, Pasta, or sugar diet today. I think it's going to be a challenge, but I have to do it! Also, I was almost done quitting smoking and he will be testing me frequently for nicotine bc he will add 3 months to my wait time if I test positive. I had no idea smoking after surgery was so dangerous ????.

I'm going next Wednesday for my pre op ekg, barium swallow, and chest X-ray and gotta go on the 14th for my dietician with my 2 week food journal ????.

I tried calling all the pyschiatrist on his list and no one takes my insurance so it's gonna be atleast until next week for me to figure where to go to get it done. Bc I'm def not paying 400$ for a psych eval????

Sorry for the long post. Any advice or support is welcome! Xoxopost-256687-14358870098445_thumb.jpg
