I was allowed soft veggies, but, just started raw and/or crispy veggies 2 weeks ago, too. I am allowed ground beef, just not roadt, steaks, etc and no pork. I was glad to be allowed raw veggies because I have really been missing salads.

I just wanted to say that this journey can really play with your mind. I really didn't think I was losing anymore. I'm not dropping sizes and I worry about how much I'm eating, etc. But, I got weighed yesterday and I was down 16 lbs in 3 weeks. So, needless to say, I feel pretty good today. I have broken the 200lbs mark. I had my RNY August 24 and that makes 58 lbs down!

As of January 18, I am down 62 pounds. But, it's really weird how my weight loss happens. In the first 2 months, I lost 40 pounds, then I lost a few pounds here and there. Then in December I lost 16 pounds and now I'm back to the few pounds here and there. I only eat Proteins and I, definitely, get in all my Water. I struggle because I never feel full and I'm so worried that I eat too much. There are so many mental ups and downs, with this this surgery - at least with me. Physically, I feel awesome - I haven't felt this good in a long time. My only issue, physically, is not being able to take NSAIDS. I have, faithfully, taken an prescription NSAID, everyday for about 20 years and now I am no longer to take it and caused all the inflammation to return which is severely limiting my mobility. I,now, am totally dependent on a walking cane. I did get an OK from surgeon to get injections and that has worked a lot, but not back to where I was by taking the NSAID daily. I am looking at some more surgery, this year - not happy about that.

My rny was on August 17th. I've lost 106 pounds since surgery, and 163 pounds total. I've had a TON of stalls along the way, usually lasting at least 2 weeks, but when it picks back up I lose so rapidly that I seem to catch up. I have zero regrets, and while I'm a little anemic at the moment and still don't have the energy level I would like to have, I would do the exact same thing all over again if I had to. I'm almost out of the 280s and into the 270s. I haven't been this size since I was maybe... 13? Early in my 14th year? I'm seeing great things on the horizon!

I've been writing updates on myself in my own personal thread. Next week will be my one year anniversary from the moment I first met with the surgeon and started my 6-month supervised diet. Since then I've lost 144 pounds. Unfortunately I'm traveling a lot so I had to push my 6-month post op check up until March, but I'm hoping for more continued good news from my surgeon's office on my blood work, etc.

I know it is a month late, but finally had my 6 month appointment. Dr. said I am doing great, Vitamin levels are good and Calcium is high normal and should be reduced. He wants me to lose 14 to 24 more pounds in the next 6 months. With a final goal of between 140 and 150.

How is everyone doing? We are all 9 months out, now - I have my 9 month appointment, tomorrow. As of 3 weeks ago, I have lost 87 pounds - I weighed 167. I'm curious as to what the scale will say tomorrow. When I was at my 6 month appt, surgeon said she only wanted me to lose 4 more pounds - I have lost about 15 since then. My Vitamin levels were all really good, except for B1. So, I am taking a B1 supplement and now, levels are good. I feel so good. I am thrilled with my progress! My only issue, right now, is Constipation. I am going to talk to the surgeon about this, tomorrow. ope everyone is doing well!

I will be 9 months on the 27th and am 1 lb from goal of 150. My weight loss has slowed to about 1 pound every week or two, but have not been to the gym in a few months due to crazy school schedule. That is not saying I have been inactive, I have spent a lot of time hiking, and walking across campus adds up to about 4 miles a day. My hair loss has slowed down and I have started to notice my skin is starting to tighten up in my abdominal area and on my face. Hopefully getting back to the gym will help with this. My hw was 277, SW 245, CW 151. Total loss 126 lbs since surgery 94 lbs. Went from a 22 jeans to in some brands a size 4, but most a size 6.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
