Finally have my new me date

June 30. I am elated. Nervous too. I have wanted this for years and now here it is. All i can think of is the life ahead. Your stories have kept me going while waiting for word on my surgery. Lots of love for you all.

Me too, Shelly. My surgery is June 30. Nervous. Scared. Giddy. Elated. Worried.

But so excited. I'm ready for the issues and problems (as much as any of us can be) and I'm so ready for this change.

Good luck to you and stay up and healthy!

I too am so excited. In a weird way I get kind of sad too... Why isn't my body good enough? Why can't I just love myself with all my weight flaws? And then I think about all of the times I have cried over my weight, been embarrassed to go in public, been humiliated to clothes shop, and then I realize I'm doing this surgery BECAUSE I love myself and want my life to be full and wonderful.
