How's it going everyone? I'm wondering at almost 6 months in if anyone is having any setbacks or issues? I am at a stall but am hoping I jump out soon. I have had horrible bloating and gas pains for going on three days. Any advice on getting it to mosey on its way? I'm a 1st grade teacher so I'm always walking. The gas just feels "stuck"

Hey there!! I'm at my half way point! Down 56 lbs since surgery! My dr actually told me I should be losing more. I was shocked. He said because I am so short (4.11) it will fall off slower. Grrrreat. But honestly I am very happy! I have not bought new clothes yet, just wearing belts but I'm thinking about jean shopping. With losing this weight I actually had a breast cancer scare but thankfully just a benign cyst that has probably been there a while. I haven't bought new bras or anything. I'm honestly kind of scared. I think I am still a 0-1x and I'm so done shopping in the "women's" section so will wait a bit longer.

It was not edible. I just ate the sauce. It had lots of yummy veggies and meat. I really can't tolerate noodles. It hurts but noodles are part of why I got into trouble in the first place. By the way, as tough as recovery was I have NO regrets. I'm down 48 lbs and tomorrow is our 3 month mark!! It's not as fast as some people but I am beyond thrilled. I'm almost half way!!!

TeeNah, I tried to make the spaghetti squash but as I started forking it... It turned to mush! Did I cook it too long?

Yep they told me that too. Argh!

Have any of you guys had an alcoholic beverage yet?

Oh my gosh guys! I am in misery! My sons bday is today so we went to chili's for dinner. I had a few tortilla chips and soup. Now, I feel like complete shit. I have been throwing up pure liquid but internally my pouch is hurting for short bursts of time. Ughhhhh. This is awful!!!

I'm down 43 lbs and only people close to me notice, like my hubby. Just solidifies why I did it. Lol

That is soooo true! I'm actually back to feeling good! I never thought it would take so long but ultimately it was worth it. I hope the weight keeps falling off for you! I don't have a trainer I have first graders. Lol! Keep me posted on your progress!!

I'm good! Being back to work has helped a lot (I'm a teacher) and I'm at 35 lbs down. I still have a looong way to go but I'm very happy! I worried about being back to work with the food issues but it has been great for me!

My dr gave me a pamphlet that says that we will go through phases like that. But it sucks so bad, I'm sure!!

You def need more time! Rest and rejuvenate. Your body just had MAJOR surgery. Bouncing back isn't realistic for all, myself included.

Hey there. Whenever I have dieted in the past and get on a plateau I eat something a little carby (don't judge) to throw my body back into diet mode. Don't get me wrong, no sugar or anything but maybe a potato or something. Or go back to protein shakes for a day. Just a thought.

Are you passing gas? And does it help to walk around or does it get worse? Usually Drs will have an on call person to answer questions. I'd try that. They always say that fever is a sign of infection and I worry that might be what you are experiencing. I also would take another week off if you can. Be safe, and get lots of rest. Please keep us updated!

Oh my gosh... Olive Garden! My nemesis. Chicken fettucini Alfredo! Had that as my last supper before pre-op diet. I have no desire for it as of yet.

I was just telling my hubby how I get sick of food so easily now. It's actually a blessing. I will crave something, have a bite, then never want it again. We were just at red robin and I was dying for a burger. After two bites I never want red robin again. I'm 27 lbs down. I'm happy and looking forward to eating fresh fruit!

Hi all I am 30 days post op RNY and all of my incisions are healed up except one. I was drying off and this thread from my towel got stuck on the incision and this clear thread starts coming out! I trimmed it so it wouldn't get caught on anything but I'm scared! It's not bleeding but it's kind of sensitive to the touch. Has anyone had this happen? Do I leave it alone or keep pulling or call the dr?
