new banded on june 19 2007

Hi everybody,

I'm Josie, I live in Murrieta California, I had mu surgery done in Tijuana, Mexico. By Dr.Ortiz in the liquid diet. The shake I'm drinking, Slim fast Optima, gives me soo much gas. I can't wait for July 10th so I can eat real food. The thing I am struggling with is, They say I will NOT be physically hungry, Only mental hunger, that is not true at all. MY stomach is growling all day, I can't stand it, I AM Hungry..

I need to know if everybody out there felt the same way??? :help:

Talk to everybody soon Josie

Hi Josie..I was banded on the 19th as well..I guess we are "banded sisters":) The gas was pretty bad for me as well. The huger pains would come and go but are pretty good right now. I started on my creamy diet today and that has help out so much. Who would of thought that baby cereal would taste so good. I felt like I was eating a steak!!!! Hang in there, You will feel great soon.Try eating sugar free popcicles when the hunger hits. That kind of takes the edge off a bit..Good luck..talk to you soon :)
