Mulepick,

I am 9 weeks out and finally broke my second stall. It just happened and I didn't change any routine. You might stop the dairy and increase your walking to vary your routine. I'd suggest weighing your Protein to no more than 4 oz a meal and limit the fruit and vegetables to 1/2C each once a day but not at the same meal. Are you getting in at least 64 oz of Water a day? I can't have dairy until the six month mark.

Can't think of any dairy I'm having except for a shot of milk in my 1/2 cup of coffee. I'm using coconut and almond milk. I can always boost Water. Tks,;

Mulepick,

Guess I was thinking about the cottage cheese you mentioned.

On week three now and in same boat. Down 13 since surgery.

Hey Soapandcandlequeen, I had surgery a little over 3 weeks ago and I have only lost 13 lbs too. I thought I would have lost more than that. I am doing exactly what my doctor said, drinking a lot of Water and exercising 4-5 days per week. I also keep my carbs generally under 30 but never over 40 grams which is 20-30 grams less then I am allowed to have. So why am I not losing?! My scale hasn't budged at all in a week!!!!! I swear I have not cheated at all and I am working my tail off. I want this so bad. Any advise?

Marcemonster, don't worry. I know it's easier said than done. I just met with my NUT today and she said that the body goes through major metabolic and hormonal changes especially in the first 3 months. Just make sure you are reaching your Fluid goal and Protein goal everyday. I know it's hard because we want to see that scale move but you will soon!

Today I am finally down a half a pound; maybe I broke my stall?! Let's hope so, I don't want to go through that agin this week! I am super happy now though and doing everything I can to keep it going: high Protein, low carb, Water and exercise!!!!! Hope everyone else breaks through. ????????❗️❗️❗️

So my previous post about my stall breaking I posted too soon. After that .4 lbs I lost I stopped losing again! Now this week I lost another half a pound but that's it!!! So not even an entire pound in almost 2 weeks!!! I thought this was the honeymoon phase!!!! I guess I'll just keep trying....

Hey everyone, so I would like to report that I have been losing weight consistently for the past week. I believe the stall has finally passed!!!! I dropped a little over 3 pounds this week!!!! So for anyone going through an early stall, just remember it will pass. It drove me crazy and made me feel awful, but it passed and I am on a roll again. Just keep up the good work and you will be successful. That being said, I am sure the next stall I will have the same reaction. Haha!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

        Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
