No energy 3 weeks post op

Recommended Posts

I am 3 weeks post-op tomorrow and I feel great except tired when I go for a walk. On my fitness pal I was showing I was eating under 400 calories a day. I am now a bit over 500 and hoping that will give me more energy. I am on a full liquids diet for another 10 days. Hoping I get more pep in my step soon.

I'll be two weeks post-op tomorrow. I still have days where I feel that I due to much, but I remembered that I just had major surgery and my body is getting use to the changes. My mouth is dry sometimes, but I just consume more liquids. Sometimes I'm not hungry but I push myself to each the three meals a day. I have not had any problems with trying to consume foods. However I do feel like sometimes my heart is beating faster than usual, but when I take my pulse its normal. It may just be my nerves. Any suggestions??

I feel like you...I had my surgery on June 16 so I am about 3 weeks post op. It is so hard for me to put anything down more less the required amounts. I had pain stabbing pains on my left side all the through week 2 (seems to have subsided now). But my system feels so sensitive about everything even Water. I can't even get my Vitamins in without feeling like I want to gag. I have no appetite, no energy, everything feels like an effort. I know this is all because I'm not getting my required fluids, Proteins, and Vitamins in. I'm thrilled if I can get one Protein shake and one bottle of Water down a day.

Is it just me?

How does everyone do it?

I had surgery the 15th and I'm doing about the same as you.. I really don't know what to do! I just feel so full all the time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
