I am grateful to have been sleeved and to have remained at goal for 8 months.

However, as of late I've noticed old habits coming back. I'm doing much more snacking primarily and carb-related foods like Cereal, granola bars, and 70-calorie ice cream bars.

Somehow, my weight has remained unchanged and possibly due to my rigorous 6-days/week workout regimen.

I'm still logging food and calories are up to about 2200/2300 a day. I'm concerned that my intake is increasing and appetite increasing as well.

I want to control this before the gaining starts, as I'm noticing gradual increases in snacking and it's scaring me.

Carbohydrates are a hard thing for me as well. It is way to tempting to have wheat thins in my home. I always regret it when I use them as a small meal instead of my Protein and vegetable meal. The carbohydrates kick in my hunger and my energy drops. I'm now listening to my body. I know I will feel crappy if I don't eat healthy. I had to tell wheat thins we cannot be friends.

Kudos to you on not gaining and your fitness level!

Keep logging food and exercise and keep an eye on your weight. I had kind of the same experience, (I'm about 1.5 yrs out too) but I had stopped logging and let larger Snacks and too frequent alcohol creep in. Put on like 5 pounds outside my goal range then had to go back to the habits that work to take it off again, (which I have), but only just. Now working on creating a little wiggle room. If you're not gaining, maybe you need the calories. If you really want to stop it, change up your Snacks to whole foods only for a week or 2. Sometimes I just need to break a habit and going "clean" can help.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
