Surgery tomorrow-any last minutes tips?!

So toworrow is my BIG DAY. My surgery is in Olympia with Dr. Neal at 11:00am. I am his 3rd surgery tomorrow. I don't know if thats good or bad. I know I won't sleep tonight...I'm excited, sure, but also thinking I'm in no pain now, but in 24hrs I will be miserable. If everthing goes well, great, but what if it doesn't. I have 2 young kids...Dr. Neal didn't put me on any pre op diet, but I think I should just do liquids today, and then OF COURSE nothingaftermidnight. I had my last nice dinner out with my girlfriends last

n:help:ight.

Does anybody have any words of encouragement for me ?

Please get yourself out of mom mode. After your surgery do NOT PUSH YOURSELF.

While you cannot sleep get all your laundry done.

Give yourself some rest days. I'm not a mom. I sure this will be hard to do.

Will anybody keep your kids for at least 2 days after surgery.

This is my advice to you. Give your body a chance to heal.

I am self employed so I gave myself 7 days after surgery to rest up.

I am childless too so all I did was the minimal . Duties you can't get out of or not if possible let your body heal.

good luck,

edie
