how long did you take your poo medicine?

My doctor prescribed DOK plus to loosen stools after surgery and said to take as needed

I am still on the pureed stage and not really going much. Is that normal? How long did you take the medicine?

It's a stool softener

  • 2 weeks later...

My doctor recommended suppository or Milk of Magnesia, and yes it is normal, we really aren't eating anything so our bodies are adjusting. I waited 4 days without going before I took anything. Now I seem to go every 2-3 days and not much and I am on soft foods at this point, I am 3 weeks out.
