yesterday

b: 1/2 cup shredded wheat with strawberry cereal/skim (a few drops)

l: 3 pieces of turkey bacon and 2 fried eggs:rolleyes2: Lately, i've been craving turkey bacon (only 50 cal for 3)...and i've had it a few times in the last week. need to get off that now though.

d: 1 baked crab cake (150 cal) (i only ate 3/4 of it) and about 5 bites of mashed potatoes

s: dole fruit cup

Breakfast ~ Atkins Cafe Mocha Shake

Snack ~ Hazelnut Iced Coffee

Lunch ~ 1 pkg Buddig Turkey & 6 Parmesan Garlic Cheez-Its

Snack ~ 1 Mini Babybel Cheese

Dinner ~ 2oz chicken Breast Tender & 1/4 C Pepper Stir Fry

Totals ~

516 Calories

24g Fat

30g Carbs

43g Protein

*I'm unusually low on Calories & Protein today ... might have another Atkins shake later tonight

i am so ready for a salad!!! my chipmunk cheeks won't let me chew chew chew just yet:frown:

yesterday -

b- 4oz cottage cheese

l- tamale' & a few bites of refried Beans

d- ice pop - cherry

yesterday-

b: Cereal

l: salad with turkey, egg, a few crumbles of bacon w/ free dressing (small portion)

s: fruit cup

d: i went to outback, lol, but i was fairly good. had 1/2 crab cake (they were smallish), and a few bites (about 4) of my tilapia fillet with crab meat on top...a few green Beans.

today-

b: special k Protein Bar (choc. peanut butter--it's really good...i have it from time to time...180 cal/10g protein). I brought a fruit cup in case if i need it either in the am or afternoon.

l: will be- small portion of the leftovers from last night's dinner...the rest i fed to the hubby lol

d: no idea yet. maybe just tuna or something.

It's a packaged shake. I got it at Walmart. It sounded good so I picked one up. It was okay but I prefer my LC slim fast, plus it was over 3 dollars for just one shake so it's a little pricey for me. Also, the calories were pretty high too (almost 500 calories for the bottle). Not worth it to me.

Lunch ~ 3 Tyson Any'Tizers Boneless Wyngs & 1 Mini Babybel Cheese

Snack ~ Iced Hazelnut Coffee

Snack ~ Iced Carmel Macchiato from Starbucks

Dinner ~ 1 C Ground Beef, Onions, Tomatoes, cheese & Sour Cream Mixture

      On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
      Soooo I am coming to a realization
      of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
