I'm still in the baby-portion of Protein stage.

9:00 a.m. 1 liter Crystal Light lemonade with 1 scoop Inspire Pom Razz Sangria protein (to sip on throughout morning)

QUOTE]

Betsy, Where, pray tell, would I find Inspire Pom Razz Sangria protein. I'm looking for something that I don't have to add milk to. Thanks in advance. Judy

Judy, I'm so sorry I didn't see this until now.

I order it from bariatriceating.com. I really love it as an alternative to the chocolately, vanilla-y Proteins

As an unrelated aside, I posted earlier about Bandtastic Meals, and have seen some posts on this thread about them since.

I've ordered, and while the food isn't awful, I've found it to be really disappointing. It's not gourmet, and it's nothing that can't be easily and inexpensively recreated at home.

Worst, even though the website assures that items are sent frozen and packed with dry ice, they arrived thawed and without dry ice. I was told that the FAA no longer permits air shipping with dry ice. The result was food that had been frozen arriving fully thawed and cool at very best. (The shipping charges have not been changed to reflect this change in policy.)

It refreezes okay--but the quality just isn't as good as I'd hoped.

Hello everyone,

I have been watching this thread for quite a while. I had surgery back in October 2009.

The portion sizes that I see on here are so small! I am VERY sad to say that I eat a lot more than what I see on here. I've had 4 fills already. 5.5 cc's in my 11 cc band. Next one will be on 5/26/10 because I am hungry in between meals *STILL*.

Ugh... I cannot wait until I get to my sweet spot and be able to have little to eat everyday.

Any helpful tips? I drink lots and lots of Crystal Light and when I get hungry I drink some Caffeine Free Red Zinger Tea, which is really good, but that only takes the edge off...

Help please... thanks!

Wisteria, don't fret. Everyone is different. I used to watch this thread and think the same thing. But I've talked with my surgeon about it many times, and he keeps assuring me that some people are able to eat more than others with the band, and it really depends on what kind of food you are eating. I am often able to eat 2 cups of food at a sitting, but I've lost 108 lbs in less than a year. Everyone is different! The important thing is to listen to your body, eat well, exercise, and never give up!:thumbup::thumbup:

Cheers!:(

So I really need to join this thread to get back on track. I went to the lapband doctor for the first time in 2.5 years (I've had my band for almost 4 years) and my pouch is stretched so I have to do liquids/mushies for 3 weeks:

Yesterday:

chocolate Banana Vivanno smoothie from Starbucks-280 Calories

2 cups of progresso Soup (minus the chicken in the soup)-160 calories

1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese- 90 calories

2 1/2 cups of cream of mushroom soup-204 calories

Total= 734 calories for Day 1 of 3 week liquid diet

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
