Any sleevers scheduled for late July?

Recommended Posts

Hello Kbpaulie and THANK YOU!!! :-)

Yes all those test sound just about like what I had to do also. I've completed most of them over the past 6 months. And as far I know they will perform the EKG, stress test and more blood work at my pre-op appt.

The date is quickly approaching and it's starting to feel REAL.

GOOD LUCK to you and thanks again for the response.

Alicia

Mine will be late July also. My insurance has approved the surgery and I'm just waiting to see my PCP on 6/22 for clearance and then I can schedule it. Unfortunately, training at work is forcing me to push it back until late July.

My surgery will be in INT hospital with Dr Ponce on July 28th. I've already bought a scar cream, made my things to bring list like gas-x strips, heating pad, etc... I hope the weather will be great on the days that I fly to Mexico. I pray that there are no delays or complications. So excited and nervous!

Hello 1body and RNsleever, we share the same sleeve date., even though I have a lot more weight to lose than you ladies . We should be sure to follow each other so we can track progress and bounce questions and concerns off each other. This is all so exciting, but I'm also very nervous.

I will be on July 14! Getting excited and beginning to prepare for the upcoming pre-op diet. I have some shake packets to try, ordered a Ninja for blending and even bought Jello already LOL. To say I'm excited is an understatement.

My operation will be on 16th July in UK. I am sure we will all do well. Bit scared but excited too. Just been looking in my wardrobe at some small jeans I have not worn for years. Heres hoping they will fit this time next year!

I have saved my size 22 shorts (and they were snug!) from my recent holiday. We got back today and closer to the deadline so very happy!

Good luck and best wishes to all the planned sleevers :D

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
